As Ethnic Technologies is painfully aware in its work with major healthcare companies, some ethnicities have higher rates of certain diseases that have been linked to physical inactivity. The American Heart Association recently published the 2025 edition of their Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics report that notes how cardiovascular disease (CVD) and stroke affects different demographics across age, ethnicity and gender in the United States. The AHA article from February goes into depth on the report’s findings in Black communities:

“Black Americans suffer some of the worst CVD health outcomes, likely due to the increasing prevalence of health risk factors that lead to CVD.” (AHA, 2025). The article provides several shocking statistics: “Among people aged 20 and older in the U.S., nearly 60% of Black adults have some type of CVD, including coronary heart disease, heart failure, stroke and hypertension; that’s compared to about 49% of all U.S. adults who have some type of CVD.” The AHA emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and regular physical activity in order to prevent heart disease and stroke.

“RECHARGE™ was such a great success last year. E-Tech is excited to be a sponsor in 2025! Body & Soul’s commitment to helping all women achieve better fitness and higher levels of physical activity and Ethnic Technologies desire to improve the health of all races and ethnicities makes us natural partners in these efforts,” said Zack Wilhoit, CEO of E-Tech.
